Thank You to Our Veterans

We would like to take the time to thank the Veterans who served our country. Our freedom still survives because of what you have done during your time of service. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Day was once known as Armistice Day. It was created as a federal holiday to commemorate the end of fighting in World War I on November 11, 1918. In 1954, Congress changed the name of the holiday to Veterans Day to recognize American veterans of all wars. It seems like many citizens confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Memorial Day is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died during their service of their country. While Veterans Day is to thank the veterans who are still living for their service during wars. Our Veterans do so much for our country, yet our country lacks in so many ways in returning that same gratitude. So in honor of today, we thank all the Veterans who served in the wars for our country. If you have a family member or friend who has served, take the time to thank them and talk to them. Thank you again.
